Behind the Camera - About the Photographer
My photographic vision is an outgrowth of seeing much of the world, and meeting it's peoples. The over-riding goal is to capture and present, as close as possible, what the scene looked like in real life. That's not to say that an image can't be tweaked just a bit when necessary, but my desire is to be true to the original scene. Today's digital technology is such that many artist's photos look "better" than Nature itself can create. Sort of a contradiction in terms. I also want my photography to be accessible and affordable to the casual observer, as well as the critical collector. The images that you see here have been made over the past 20 years, using both 35mm film, and digital format. I hope you'll enjoy seeing them on your wall, as much as I enjoyed the adventure of taking them.
